Beginning and Advanced Instruction

CARVE STONE with the last great Italian masters of marble sculpture in a 150-year old, professional marble studio in historic, downtown Pietrasanta, Italy. Four-week sessions include assistance and translation by an American sculptor, with trips to professional artists' studios, marble quarries and contemporary sculpture exhibitions.

Create your masterpiece in the hidden jewel of Tuscany!

All workshops provide the use of an air compressor and electrical outlets, work tables and indoor/outdoor work areas, technical and artistic instruction, lessons on marble technique, art theory and criticism discussions.

Special side trips to a marble quarry, marble studios and foundries, mosaic and stone inlay workshops, as well as visits to internationally known artists' studios and exhibitions.
